How to Arrange Rolling Mills for the Steel Rolling Production Line?

The layout of the rolling mills in the steel rolling production line
determines the size of the entire production line. Therefore, how to arrange
the machine is particularly important. Under normal circumstances, the rolling
machine in the rolling production line can be divided into the following types.
Stand-Alone
The formation of a stand-up rolling machine is the simplest. The
steel rolling workshop is composed of only one working machine seat and its
drive motor and transmission system. This layout is used for:
(1) The first rolling machine, board rolling machine, thick board
and universal rolling machine with rolling giant sections are all two-roller
reversible rolling machines;
(2) Rolling steel pipes, cold-rolled steel plates and two rollers
with steel irreversible rolling machines;
(3) Cold-rolled sheets and four-rolling machines with steel and hot-rolled
steel plates and multi-roller rolling machines.
Horizontal
Several working machine seats are rowed into a column, which is
transmitted by a motor through co -reduction and gear seats. The advantage of
this layout is that the equipment is simple, the cost is low, and it is easy to
build. It has played a great role in the development of the local steel
industry. In the past, small and medium -sized steel workshops were mostly used
in this type of layout, which has gradually been eliminated. Its main
disadvantage is that it is driven by an electric motor. The roll speed of each
working machine seat is the same, so the rolling speed cannot be increased with
the increase of the rolled parts. At the same time, when rolling parts are sent
from one machine to another, they must move horizontally, which is not
convenient, but also restricts the improvement of productivity. In a column,
the number of working machine seats can reach 2 to 5 according to the different
uses of the rolling machine. The horizontal layout is used for rolled steel,
wires, etc.
Vertical
The two working machine seats are rolled in order in order of
rolling parts, and rolling parts are rolled in each seat. Each machine is
driven separately, and the roll speed increases with the length of the rolling
part. This layout is commonly used for high productivity initial rolling
machines and thick board rolling machines.
Phase
This layout is a combination of the aforementioned arrangement. The
rolling line is arranged into three columns (vertical type) in turn. In the
second column, there are 3 working machine seats (horizontal type). This layout
is commonly used for rolled steel, and the number of mills and seats determines
the conditions of the hole design.
Continuous
The continuously arranged rolling machine is mostly a two-roller or
a four-roller rolling machine. In addition to each rolling one by one, the roll
is relatively short, and it must also be maintained into a rolling machine with
equal metal flow within the time of the rolling machine. in principle. Because
the continuously arranged rolling machine is easy to achieve the mechanization
and automation of the rolling process, it can use a high rolling speed.
Therefore, it has a great production capacity. The quality of rolling products
is better. At present, steel production, steel plates and steel production,
small and wire production, and steel pipe production have been widely used in a
large number of rolling machines.
