Is It A Good Idea To Paint Over Wallpaper? Any Pros And Cons To Consider?

I don't have a good experience in painting over wallpapers. When I painted over it, the result turned out to be extremely poor-looking.

Painting over wallpaper can be a quick fix, but it’s not always ideal. If the wallpaper is smooth and firmly stuck, painting can work with proper prep (sealing seams and using primer). It’s faster and budget-friendly but can show imperfections if the wallpaper isn’t in great shape. Plus, peeling or bubbling might happen over time, and removing painted wallpaper later is tough. For a lasting finish, removing it is usually better.
