In case you decide to"Play Game", or if you are attacking a group's stronghold (their home base) in which"Play Game" is required, you'll have to select a difficulty level to play the game on. The available choices are determined by the Fan Distribution. The more fans you have assaulting, the lower the difficulty you will be able to play on MLB stubs. Win the matchup either by simulating or playing, and you're going to take over that tile and it's fans. Take over all of the tiles, and you'll win Conquest style.

After each Attack Phase, you will be given the opportunity to steal fans from any remaining group's stronghold. You simply choose which group you need to perform, and then pick the difficulty level. The greater the difficulty level you opt to play on, the more fans you'll steal should you win the game.

After you have completed the Attack and Steal Phases, then you are going to have to put fans you've won on any of those tiles that you have control of on the map. In case you experience an excess of fans on a tile, you can move them during this stage. Once this is completed, you'll go onto your next move, and return to the Attack Phase.

It is possible to go about the map as you please, but some common strategies are moving directly towards the Rockies, and carrying the land from the shore before working your way down the west coast. Another is going towards the Twins first, and making your way through the central teams prior to going east or west.

As you build up your fan base, you need to be using the Simulate Game option for all non-stronghold games. At that stage, you might also skip the Steal Phase too. For playing Conquest and beating team's strongholds, you'll be given several benefits. As you advance through the Conquest Program, you will earn MLB The Show 19 players, Tickets, Stubs, XP, and eventually get an 87 Overall Breakout Luis Gonzalez card, and a Program Reward that allows you to begin the Conquest Extreme Program.

Defeating certain team's strongholds will also result in unlocking a Flashback card of a Buy MLB The Show 19 Stubs player with that group, and yet another Mission that must be completed with this card. By way of example, if you defeat the San Francisco Giants, you'll unlock a Rookie Brandon Crawford card, and a Mission that needs you to collect 1 hit, and also two fielding aids in the same Conquest game. There are just two of those hidden paths for all the six MLB divisions.
