Winter Skincare Regime: Best Skincare products for Winter
Winter Skincare Regime: Best Skincare products for Winter
Compared to summers, most of us like winters- cold and chilled weather. But it can be quite a nightmare for the skin, as it makes the skin dry and flaky. Due to low humidity levels the water on your skin evaporates more quickly which makes the skin feel dry and tight and makes it look flaky. The skin also loses more than 25 percent of its ability to hold moisture in the winter. We mostly observe the dry skin somewhere on our body in the form of flaky patches, cracked skin and in more severe cases, itchy red patches losing the moisture and nourishment. Not only the skin, but also the hair gets affected in winters as it too loses its moisture leaving unhealthy hair.
How to take care of face and body during winters?
As the season changes, we need to change our skin care routine accordingly. There are many ways to keep your skin healthy and glowing during summers. Here we have solved most of your queries with our wide variety of products which caters to your every need. Here's a little guide to it.
Tips to take care of your dull face during winter:
Below are some tips to take care of our face during winters. Let's start with basic CTM routine which is helpful on a daily basis.
Cleansing: This is the first step in taking care of your skin and it should never be missed. Most of the cleansers are based on skin type, skin problems and concerns. Our Vanya Haldi Clear Tulsi and Turmeric Oil Face Cleanser is answer to most of that
question. We should change our harsh chemical cleansers to the natural ones. It is best to use natural cleansers as it makes the dry skin soft and smooth. Turmeric oil is good to use in winters as it combines well with Tulsi for enhancing antibacterial properties of the cleanser. It’s pleasant aroma is good to start the day with. It is suitable for all kinds of skin types. Sensitive skins must try the tester first. Will talk about it in detail in my next CTM routine post.
Exfoliation: it is important to exfoliate the skin in winters because moisture can't get in with too much of dead cells overlying your skin. The benefits of exfoliating the skin during winter is it not only take off the dry, dead skin cells but it also helps in boosting skin regeneration. It’s better to use the natural, exfoliating scrubs like “ Vanya Pomegranate Face Scrub”. Pomegranate Scrub will helps to keep skin hydrated & does not make it dry. It’s great for skin rejuvenation too. The pomegranate keeps the skin fresh and gives the glowing, fresh look. It can be used as often as twice a week for better results. It's quite easy to use even and try to apply pomegranate face mask always after scrubbing the face for glowing and healthy skin.
Exfoliating should be depend on your skin type. If you have very dry skin, exfoliate your skin lightly once a week. If you have combination and oily skin, twice a week is fine.
Toning: Our bodies are comprised mostly of water, and we need to take in a large quantity of water each day to replenish what we lose through sweat, waste, and energy. In winters, the air gets colder and dry which robs the water on our skin. So, it is necessary to hydrate our skin by drinking a lot of water as much as we can. We won't feel the need to drink water in winters so keeping the skin hydrated might be difficult. In that case we can use Rose Water which is an excellent natural toner to the skin. I suggest using the Vanya Rose Water as toner on a daily basis. It not only hydrates but also gives a good finish to the skin texture keeping your skin fresh. Just spray liberally on face and neck regularly both morning and evening to improve the skin tone. It is suitable for all types of skin all round the year.
Masking: Every skin is not complete with masking. They comes handy when you need an extra hydration and glow to your skin and for that Vanya Pomegranate Face Mask are best natural ones out there.”Pomegranate Face Mask” also helps you keep your skin hydrated and gives the glowing, moisturized skin. Apply light gel face mask on face and neck once or twice a week for hydration and nourishment of the skin.
Face Creams: This is one more extra step we love adding daily to our skin care. As said previously we need to change our skin care routine with the season accordingly. Choosing the winter skin care product is very important which moisturises the skin, making it soft and smooth. Those are some good features about a face cream and the best natural one which comes to mind is from our very own homegrown brand Vanyaa.
