As we age, we lose collagen. Loss of collagen is responsible for age lines, wrinkles, sagging, and folds. Our faces begin to look flatter, and our temples are sunken. Additonally, our cheeks appear hollower, and our jawlines sink. The good news is that a beautiful, youthful appearance can be restored with Sculptra.

What Is Sculptra?

Sculptra is approved by the FDA. It is used to boost collagen naturally to help you obtain that youthful look. You receive a series of injectable poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate collagen production over time. As your collagen production increases, your face will look fuller. Your skin will also gain more support. Likewise, your smile lines will improve, and your wrinkles will disappear.

Injectable poly-L-lactic acid is biodegradable as it is comprised of organic materials such as sugar cane or corn starch. These materials are then fermented and turned into lactic acid. Injectable poly-L-lactic acid does not contain any animal byproducts or human DNA, making this an appealing option for individuals who have specific beliefs or convictions.

How Is Poly-L-lactic Acid Filler Different Than Other Fillers?

Poly-L-lactic acid stimulates collagen production over time. Traditional fillers, on the other hand, provide results immediately. However, traditional fillers do not last as long and do not help you produce collagen. Traditional fillers last anywhere from six to 12 months whereas poly-L-lactic acid filler will last over two years. Traditional fillers only fill in your face. Meanwhile, poly-L-lactic acid filler treats the underlying cause for your aged appearance which is the loss of collagen, and this allows the treatment to be long lasting.

What Is the Sculptra Aesthetic Process?

The Sculptra process, also referred to as a poly-L-lactic acid facial, consists of three injections that are administered over a period of three to four months. You receive these injections in your face, and they are given in different directions to ensure that collagen production occurs evenly. Results become noticeable within two to three months. A fourth injection is rarely needed.

Before any injections are given, you meet with a healthcare practitioner at a medical spa or plastic surgery clinic for an evaluation. During your consultation, you have a chance to ask questions, address concerns, and work out a treatment plan. Upon ending your consultation, you will be presented with an injection schedule.

If you are ready to look young and beautiful, contact Beaute Therapies Medical Spa for a free consult for a poly-L-lactic acid facial. During your consultation, you will speak with one of our practitioners, and you will have a chance to ask questions and address any concerns you may have. We are proud to offer Sculptra in West Palm Beach and the surrounding areas, and we look forward to working with you to help you restore your natural beauty.
