What is Ibrutinib?
As you may know, Ibrutinib 140 mg
is a drug used to treat certain types of cancer. It belongs to a class of drugs
called kinase inhibitors, specifically Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK)
inhibitors. It is commonly used to treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL),
small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), Waldenstrom
macroglobulinemia, and marginal zone lymphoma.
By inhibiting BTK, ibrutinib disrupts the signalling
pathways needed for cancer cells to grow and survive. And it is often
prescribed when other treatments are not effective or if cancer has recurred
after previous treatments.
