What is Green Energy?

Green Energy is
an energy that is produced by and through natural elements such as sunlight,
water and air. Green energy is good and effectively beneficial for the
environment. When we utilize fossil fuels that are extracted from coal or
petroleum and such sources, they harm the environment and make the issue of
global warming worse. With every passing year we notice more and more extreme
natural calamities which means the climate change issue is also getting worse.
When you utilize green energy, you make a difference in the worsening situation
of our planet earth. Now, green energy is of various types.
Let’s understand some of the essential green energy:
Solar Power
Solar energy or
solar power is one of the most popular and utilized green energy sources. You
must have heard of solar panels and solar power systems. The solar power system
includes solar panels, inverter and solar battery storage. The solar panels
absorb the sunlight and convert it into electricity. That electricity is of DC
form and your home appliances require AC form of electricity hence the inverter
carries out that conversion. Solar battery storage simply stores the solar
energy produced for future utilization. Solar energy is one of the best options
because it is in a way an infinite and never ending source since our sun is
sure to exist for another millions of years. Solar power is getting more and
more utilized for home appliances and commercial purposes. Governments are
using solar panels for signals and traffic lights and street lights even. One
could say that solar power is the future!
Wind Power
Wind power or
wind energy is extracted from the speedy winds. Usually the production happens
at the off shore or high altitude areas. You may have seen the windmills in
some places, maybe near a beach or a lighthouse or ocean shore. Windmills have
the flaps that get exposed to the wind that is passing in the air with
significant speed and hence contains remarkable energy. Wind power can be
stored and transferred and used even in the regions away from the ocean shores.
Hydropower
Hydropower or
hydroelectric power is generated through water. Water that is flowing with
speed contains a lot of energy. Now that energy can be harnessed. You may have
seen a round wheel with flaps, it is called a turbine. Such turbines are placed
under the water that is flowing with speed and the energy is generated. The
turbines come in various sizes. Usually such turbines are placed in and around
dams, rivers and waterfalls. Hydropower can also be stored and transported just
like wind power.
Solar energy can
be easily generated and utilized even on very small scales, however wind power
and hydropower generation is relatively a bit tricky. Thus solar power is
getting more and more popular and the other two are yet to be paired with
advanced technology that facilitates extremely easy energy generation.
Besides the above three, there are few other green energies but their qualification extent of being a green energy can only be determined by their production methods.
Biofuels
Last but not
least, you should know that if you are thinking about going solar, then you
have a lot of options for both the residential and commercial needs including 6.6kW solar system, 7kW,
10kW, 20kW and 30kW solar panel system and so on as per needs.
