domestic flights and up to $400 for international flights if you book more than
24 hours in advance, depending on the price class.
After paying the United flight cancellation fee,
you can apply the unused value of your ticket against a future trip with
United, as long as your new travel begins within one year of the ticket's
original issue date and you canceled the original ticket before the first
flight's departure.
The ticket that can be refunded
If you purchased a refundable ticket, you can
cancel it up to seven days before your travel, and a refund will be issued to
your original credit card (it should appear on your statement in 1-2 billing
cycles).
For Award tickets
Depending on your United status level, the cost
of canceling your award ticket and having your miles redeposit can vary
significantly.
If you cancel 61 days or more before your
flight, you will be charged $75 for general members, $50 for Silver members,
$25 for Gold members, and $0 for Platinum and 1K members. The price for
canceling a flight 60 days or less before departure is $125 for general
members, $100 for Silver members, $75 for Gold members, $50 for Platinum
members, and 0 for 1K members.

flight, regardless of your status level, you'll have to pay $125 to have
your miles redeposit.

The cost will be waived for elite members at the Gold level or higher.
