If you want somewhere you can enjoy an evening meal with your loved one, then there are certainly plenty of options available in Covent Garden. From seafood diners to traditional restaurants and more, so the possibilities are endless.

Balthazar

Balthazar is located in Covent Garden and it is just across from the Royal Opera House. You can order everything from lobster to steak, so there is truly something for everyone. The original Balthazar opened in New York City in 1997, and the founder has worked diligently to make the London Balthazar just as special. This restaurant offers some of the finest ingredients and they also used traditional methods in their preparation, so you can expect exceptional quality every time.

Kaspar’s Seafood Bar

This restaurant has been named after Savoy’s mascot, Kaspar the Cat. If you have a party of 13, then you will be greeted with a sculpture of Kaspar the Cat to help ward off any bad luck. You’ll find succulent oysters, seafood dishes, and some old-fashioned desserts that will bring a fine finish to your dining experience. The restaurant itself is filled with 1920’s décor, with polished silver and cut glass as well as a panoramic view of the river Thames if you get a window seat.

Rules

Rules are one of the oldest restaurants in London. Thomas Rule founded this restaurant in 1798 and it quickly became famous for its notable décor, oysters, puddings, pies, and game. You’ll also find a fine selection of pedigree Belted Galloway cattle meat, roe deer and so much more, sourced from the Rules estate in the Pennines. The interior decorations are very traditional, with white tablecloths and low lighting, so if you need somewhere to go on a romantic date in Covent Garden, this really is the place for you.
