In spite of your cupboard being stacked up with winter clothes, you tend to end up shivering or feeling too hot. The reason for it is that you could have no idea on how to choose winter clothing. You may end up stuffing your cupboard with warm jackets, coats without thinking in any way on what clothes can help you keep warm. Winter accessories are also another area, which we ignore. Hereby are some tips on what form of clothes to choose this coming winter and how to optimize the comfort level as well

Dress in layers

The amount of layers one would need during the winter months is likely to depend upon the temperature you are likely to encounter. If it is just cold, you can wear a sweater, or a light cardigan over the shirt. If it is very cold, then wearing a coat with winter wear thermal under it would not be a bad idea. The benefit of a thermal wear is that you are protected from the inside as well as outside. If the temperatures are unbearable, then it would be a great idea to dress yourself up in maximum amount of layers as possible.

Keep the lower part of the body warm

The general feeling is that you may wear a lot of clothes on top, but the bottom part of the body is neglected. So the onus should be on the fact that one should be covered from head to toe. Another idea would be to choose pants made of solid fabrics like denims as these pants will keep you warm on a whole. You need to check whether there is flannel lining in these pants or not. Layers are known to work wonders on all counts, and when it is coupled with a pair of woolen socks, the cold is a thing of the past.

Proper set of accessories is a must

No part of the body should be left uncovered for the air to pass through. For the matter of fact, whatever warm clothes you wear, you are bound to catch cold. You need to be covered from top to bottom, and for this reason head gear, scarves and gloves are a must. Gloves should be not ignored as they prevent your hand from frostbites. When you buy gloves, see to it that it is comfortable for you; otherwise there is no point of buying it.  Hats are also an important winter accessory as they do not let the cold air enter the body from head.

All the above mentioned tips if followed in a proper manner will ensure that you can enjoy the winter and keep the cold at bay.
