Tips for Photography Beginners
The more we see the aesthetic photos on Instagram or Flickr, the more our inside creative photographer yearns to do the same. But it all falls down at the point of thought: where to start?
We have come up with some cool tips and tricks for the photography beginners that will provide a kick to start the photography with no excuse.
Tip #1
First of all, stop waiting for the right gear. If you want to capture the surroundings, you can capture them the way you really want with even your Smartphone camera. All you need is to practice with different angles and shots. And that turns out to be the tip #2.
Tip #2
Capture everything. Never underestimate any place or object. Even if you have got nothing in the room, you will have something to capture. Try different angles to capture one object. Don’t get satisfied by only first shot. Keep shooting until you get a large range of shots to choose from.
Tip #3
Know the composition. The major difference between the beginners and the advanced photographers is the knowledge of composition. There are a lot of ways to improve the composition and one most effective method is the ‘Rule of Thirds’. If your Smartphone or camera provides the grid, turn on that function or just imagine two horizontal and two vertical lines on the screen. And try to place the subject on the intersection of any of those lines.
Tip #4
Master the exposure. The exposure is the most essential aspect of the image. Images captured in the low and high exposure are different from each other. There are three factors that affect the exposure: shutter speed, aperture and ISO. While shutter speed usually affects the motion sensitivity. The slower speed usually creates the motion blur while the faster speed freezes the motion. Whereas, the aperture affects the depth of the field. When it comes to the ISO, the higher the ISO is, the easier you can capture photos in darkness.
Tip #5
When you have practiced more than a thousand times and finally decided to upgrade to DSLR or any other good camera, here you can choose a great camera for Instagram, according to your needs.
Tip #6
Once you have found a good camera, and you have started capturing great photos, don’t forget the post-processing of the images. It is a common misconception that when a photographer captures great photos he or she thinks that there is no need to edit or color correct it. This myth should be broken, as every photo needs some additional detailing or a small touch before getting displayed.
Tip #7
Keep your camera all the time with you. While passing by a great subject of photography and realizing your camera is absent can be a real pain. To prevent this regret afterwards, try to keep your camera with you all the time. You never know, what a great opportunity you get for shooting in regard of time or place.
These are a few tips that can help you from sitting back to begin the photography. And from starting the photography as a beginner to become an advanced photographer.
