Bird hunting is a sport that many love and perhaps you are one of the many people who would like to start hunting as a hobby. It goes without saying that you need to enhance your shooting skills to enjoy the sport and with that said, you will need to join the cheapest gun range Orlando has. If you are unsure where you can find one, check in the internet for a shooting range Orlando Florida International Drive location, you are bound to get a good deal. The next step you need to take is to familiarize yourself with the basic bird hunting rules. This article covers a few of the said rules; read on to find out.

1. Keep your eyes focused on the bird

This is the best advice you will get when it comes to shooting birds. Keep your focus on the bird’s beak and head and ensure your eyes are locked there through the entire shot. You will need to learn the skill of visualizing something- naturally, we do not keep our eyes focused on a moving object. Most people have the tendency to focus back on the gun barrel because it is human instinct to want to have everything lined up prior to pulling the trigger. However, this instinctive act is useless when it comes to shooting birds, your focus should remain on the bird and the bird alone.

2. Move your gun around

Most people tend to stop the gun. If you shift your focus from the bird and the keep your gun stationary, then you will get negative results when you bring the weight of the gun back and lift its head. Your focus should be on keeping your head low, your front foot to bear your weight, and your eyes fixed firmly on the bird. When in this position, moving your gun around will be much easier on every shot. Do not finish the shot you are taking too early; do not be in a hurry to take off your head from the gun; follow through on every single shot.

3. Good timing

You need to be honest with yourself: are you a slasher or a poker? Most people slash birds while others poke at them, both of which look terrible. You should try to be as rhythmic as possible with every single shot. Count one to three prior to every shot and this will regulate your shot and eliminate the need to be in a hurry.
