The Kiss by Gustav Klimt is by far his best-known work and a great example of the early 20th century Art Nouveau movement. Klimt and his fellow painters focused on stylistic designs that were soft and curving. Many had a floral motif, such as The Kiss.

The Kiss

In the oil and gold masterpiece, the man appears standing as he holds in his arms the kneeling woman. The two seem to be positioned on a flower field, kissing, totally engaged with one another. The woman seems to be following the lead of her partner, but is not taking an active part. The patterns of the man are mostly black and white rectangles, while the woman is engulfed in flowers.

The use of gold and many other colors make this painting perfect for almost any room. This beautiful reminder of passion would be wonderful in any bedroom. A hand painted oil painting reproduction can bring to life these lovers in a way that a print simply cannot. Why not grace your home with this reproduced masterpiece today?
