In communities with high adoption rates over 500 residents, DC rapid charging stations may also be necessary.

For example, property owners seeking funding in New Delhi have two financing options. Under the capital expenditures (CapEx) model, customers can make an upfront payment to the EV charger vendor, covering the charger cost after subsidy and GST, installation expenses up to 5 meters of wiring, and a 3-year annual maintenance contract (AMC). Alternatively, the subscription model, which is available only to customers deploying at least 10 charging points, entails paying equal monthly installments over 3 years, encompassing the charger cost after subsidy and charges, installation expenses up to 5 meters of wiring, and operational and maintenance costs. After completing these installments, customers gain ownership of the charger.
