Dr. Alan Reinstein CPA
Alan
Reinstein is the George R. Husband Professor of Accounting, College of Business
Administration at Wayne State University. He earned a BA and MS (in
Mathematics) from the State University of New York (New Paltz), an MBA from the
University of Detroit, and a Doctorate in Business Administration (in
Accounting) from the University of Kentucky. Alan conducts seminars for the
AICPA, State Auditors Generals' Offices, state CPA societies and other professional
groups. He authored many refereed articles appearing in journals such as
Accounting, Organizations and Society, Auditing: A Journal of Practice &
Theory, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting,
Auditing & Finance, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Abacus, Critical
Perspectives on Accounting, Research in Accounting Regulation, Advances in
Accounting, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Education,
The CPA Journal (where he won the Max Block Award for the best article
published in 2008) and the Journal of Accountancy (where he won the John L.
Lawler Award for the best article published in 2009).

Paul Dank
Paul
is the President of Advanced Surveillance Group and manages the firm's business
and investigative operations. Paul began his work in private investigations in
1994 managing the operations of Sherlock Investigations. In 2000, Paul opened
ASG and ultimately purchased Sherlock Investigations, combining the operations
of the two. Prior to entering investigations Paul had attended Michigan State
University majoring in business administration and attended post graduate
studies at Wayne State University. After completing his education, Paul worked
at KPMG in the assurance practice where he focused on clients the insurance
industry. After leaving KPMG he worked for a consulting practice which included
his work with Sherlock Investigations that lead to his joining the agency.

James D. Hoppe FBI (Special
Agent - Retired)
Jim
Hoppe recently retired after a career as a Special Agent of the FBI for over
twenty-seven years consisting of assignments of increasing complexity requiring
leadership and management skills. Extensive experience conducting complex
financial crime investigations, background investigations for security
clearances, special weapons and tactics (SWAT), auditing, budgeting, financial
planning and financial reporting in public and private sectors. Jim is a
graduate of Southern Illinois University and he is a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA).
Jim is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia
and he is a member of the FBI National Academy Association. Jim is also an
officer in the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. Jim has conducted
several seminars for the Michigan Association of CPA's Continuing Professional
Education program and he has been a guest lecturer at the master's level at
Oakland University.
