The best things about sooryavanshi movie


In 2021, a Hindi film titled Sooryavanshi was released. The fourth installment in the Cop series of films, it was created and directed by Rohit Shetty and produced at Dharma Productions as well as Cape of Good Films. The film stars  Akshay Kumar, who portrays the protagonist DCP Veer Sooryavanshi. Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Katrina Kaif briefly reprised their Singham and Simmba roles from the Cop Universe while Jaaved Jaaferi plays a pivotal role. Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena, and Kumud Mishra also lent their voices to the film.


Kumar is the protagonist of Simmba, a movie released in March 2020. When it was going to be released in 2021, the pandemic COVID-19 plagued India and delayed the release date of sooryavanshi movie ahead. Simmba would not be released until November 2021, when it came out right around the Diwali celebrations. It received mixed reviews from critics and had a total worldwide gross of $350 million (₹295 crores).


Plot


Growing up in Mumbai, Veer Surya loses his parents to the 1993 bomb blasts when they are taken by Ibrahim and Mustafa. His family is then discovered by Riyaz, who was one of 40 terrorists believed to be part of Omar Hafeez's sleeper cell. In Jaisalmer, senior JCP Kabir Shroff reveals that 400 kilograms of RDX planted by Bilal Ahmed detonated during the 1993 bombings and 600 kilograms remain buried somewhere in India.


Now that he is the DCP ATS chief, Surya plans to find the remaining members of the sleeper cell. He also tries to reconcile with his estranged wife R ia Gupta, who he parted ways with due to a misunderstanding, but to no avail. Surya comes across Islamic priest Kadar Usmani, who turns out to be a terrorist. Usmani meets Bilal whose residence houses 600 kilograms of RDX. 


Surya's friend DCP Bajirao Singham arrives and they defuse the bomb wrapped around Ria while killing all the terrorist attackers.The movie news of  Singham, Simmba, and Surya shoot them to death in anger.

Soundtrack 


The songs in the movie are composed by various artists, including Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George – DJ Chetas, and JAM8. The song "Aila Re Aillaa" is a recreation of Khatta Meethi from 2010. "Najaa" is a remake pleated to the comedic Punjabi song released in 2017. "Tip Tip Barsa Pani" is a remix of Mohra which was released in April 2022 with vocals provided by original singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan. Finally, "Hum Hindustani" was released on August 8th, 2022 as part of Saregama's second death anniversary soundtrack.

Release 


In 2019, the film was originally set to release on Eid before being rescheduled to 27 December. The film was delayed in February and replaced with Release-19 on 24 March. In 2020, Reliance Entertainment confirmed that Sooryavanshi will finally hit cinemas on Diwali, but due to pandemic regulations of a theatrical release, it was postponed again to November 2020 where an email from Mumbai Film Festival teased the knowledge of its possible arrival 4 months later. 


The film was finally released between January and March 2021. After more than a year of delay, the release date changed to 2 April 2021 before also postponed indefinitely due to a lockdown in Maharashtra. 2 months later, 14 March 2021 marked the final release date which was later pushed back indefinitely due to COVID-19 cases and restrictions imposed by the Indian state government. It was finally released theatrically on 5 November 2021 until AMC's theatre guidelines caused it to be postponed yet again since screenings were not continuous.
