Collaborating with DISCOMs, the Delhi Government has introduced an integrated platform to simplify the deployment of private electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the city. The initiative Switch Delhi is dedicated to promoting the growth of EV charging stations in residential and semi-public spaces throughout Delhi.

Following the Delhi government's electric vehicle subsidy program, individuals will find that the cost of installing a charging point for electric two or three-wheelers is now an affordable ₹2,500. This process has been made hassle-free through a user-friendly single-window system available online and via phone calls. In line with the Delhi Government's initiative to promote private EV charger installations, Tata Power-DDL has collaborated with a network of 12 vendors to streamline the installation of both slow and moderate chargers. Once a request is submitted, the installation and activation of these EV chargers will be completed within just seven business days.

In a bid to encourage the residents of Delhi to shift from conventional vehicles to electric ones, the Government of NCT of Delhi launched the Switch Delhi campaign. As a pivotal component of this campaign, dedicated social media channels were created to establish a direct connection with the city's residents and to disseminate information about the benefits of adopting electric vehicles.

Embracing Sustainable Alternatives: The Electric Vehicle (EV) Movement:

·         The transformation of conventional petrol or diesel vehicles into electric ones, known as electric vehicle retrofitting, is poised to have a significant impact on the Delhi EV Scheme Policy. This conversion process involves the replacement of the original internal combustion engine and its related components with an electric powertrain, enabling vehicles to operate on clean energy sources.

·         The primary objective of retrofitting is to prolong the lifespan of existing vehicles and decrease the necessity for their disposal, thereby making a positive contribution to environmental sustainability. Delhi EV Scheme Policy is the best plan to boost electric vehicles.

Tata Power-DDL is taking a leading role in the establishment of public charging stations and battery-swapping infrastructure within its designated area. This effort is driving a significant shift toward environmentally responsible and clean transportation solutions.
