Super model Strategies
No matter where you, no matter how you go, anywhere you see, you can find the pictures of wide-eyed adorable babies looking at you, showing off their most-angelic happiness that will make your heart gush with emotions. That is the magic of baby models.
Here are some supermodel strategies that ensure that your child’s a definite head turner as a kid model.
· Get the perfect picture: Mail is the initial mode of contact between you and the modelling agency. So when you send your child’s photo, make sure that you send about three snapshots that include: a full body photo, head-only photo and a photo that highlights your child’s best features. It is not absolutely necessary that all the photographs need to be professional. Behind every photo, don’t forget to mention his/her name, eye color, clothing size and age. A good agency will get in touch with by either inviting you and your child for an appointment or politely rejecting your request.
· Beware of Scams: It’s not exactly easy to spot out the shady business. However there is one protocol that every legitimate agency follows- ‘no fees’. Any reputable agency will not collect fees from you till your child starts working. To be on the safer side, check the neighboring companies to make sure that the company is as reliable as they sound.
· Time for a walk: Not all interviews are a walk-in garden. In fact most of the firms that have expressed their interest in your child, have also expressed their interest in many other children. Moreover, if there is a line, then you will be asked to wait for quite some time before you actually see the people in charge.
· Put on your thinking hat: Though you might have been visioning mega-billion rolling in from the modelling career, the reality will shock you. In general most kids get about 2 to 3 jobs a month and they do not like working over two hours at a time. The pay for a single shoot is also not as high as the sky. However, as you build you profile and get better roles in TV gigs, you will be able to land potential clients.
· Rejected? Not a problem. When pursuing a modelling career, you are going to get rejected by someone at some point of time. But the hurdle is getting over the rejection, rather than letting it get the better of you and your child.
