Construction is a really big hectic job and apart from hard work, it puts a lot on stake like-productivity, budget and a lot of time, apart from a huge amount of money of course. The biggest issue to consider here is to choose the right commercial contractor for the job or he/she may end up ruining your project. Having that said, the best commercial contractor can be defined as one that can meet strict deadlines,  work within budget and last but not the least is creative with ideas and suggestions of his own. Here are some of the signs and most common traits a bad contractor:

Not reachable!

If you find a contractor that is least interested in returning your calls or emails, it is a big red sign and shows to a great extent how non-serious the contractor is. In such a situation, never consider hiring him/her you should continue your search. The good contractor will always be reachable and will answer your phone calls. The good contractor is always open to listening to the requirements and queries of clients. Most of them assign a special team to guide you through the project.

You get what you pay!

Always remember this and do not get tempted by any contractor or company that goes very low in binding, because you will never get good quality work at a low price, after all, you have to pay a price for everything. Also, make sure that what all services are they giving under the quote that they are providing. The good contractor will be open and will give you the details of every cost incurred in the bill and what all services are included in it. On the other hand, a bad contractor will avoid billing related questions and will get uncomfortable with it.

No affiliation with trade union

Contractors take special safety measures and attend conferences with other reputable contractors to discuss the management of projects and the latest innovative technologies in the construction business. Such contractors are mostly at the top of their game. Most of the Commercial contractors in Burnaby are the members of ABC. If the contractor is not involved in any associations, it means that it has no desire to remain updated about the industry and for sure his service is going to be below average.

Reference

OK, reference is important in every kind of job, no matter whichever field you are in. having that said, it is important to ask the contractor for references from his previous clients. If the contractor is unable to provide references, it is a clear indication of customer dissatisfaction or unable to complete the project on time or even budget issues.

However, if the contractor openly provides you with numerous references, he/she is definitely on the good side and has a lot of good points on his side. However, you must never hesitate to research at your level by going through websites and reviews of clients.
