SBI PO 2015- Official Notification Will Be Released Soon

State Bank of India will recruit eligible candidates to the post of Probationary Officers (PO) based on the performance in SBI PO 2015 exam. The official notification regarding this entrance exam will be published soon on the main website of SBI. Under SBI PO recruitment process, final selection of the candidate will be made on the basis of written exam, group discussion and interview. 

SBI PO Recruitment 2015 - Synopsis 

  • Organization name- State Bank of India (SBI). 
  • Post name- Probationary Officers 
  • Hiring process - written test, group discussion and interview 
  • Exam date- will be released soon. 

SBI PO Salary - Probationary Officer will get the starting salary of Rs.16, 900 with 4 increments in the range of “14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700” applicable to junior management scale I. 


Eligibility criteria is the set of terms and conditions defined in the area of age, nationality, educational qualification and date of birth.PO eligibility criteria is chalked by State Bank of India which is the governing body of this competitive exam. It is mandatory for the candidate to meet all terms and conditions of eligibility criteria so as to become eligible for Probationary Officer exam. 

  • Candidate’s age should be between 21 years and 30 years as on 1st April 2015. 
  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen. 
  • Candidate must have attained graduation degree from recognized university or institute.  

SBI PO 2015- Application Form Details 

To apply for the post of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India, candidates must fill up SBI PO Application Form. This form will be released in 1st week of April 2015 tentatively. Aspirants can fill this application form in online mode only. 

Steps to fill SBI PO Application Form 

  • Access the official website of SBI. 
  • Click on the option titled as “career with us”. 
  • Open the application form. Enter all the information asked in it. 
  • Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format. 
  • Verify all the information and submit the application form. 

Application Fee - Candidates belonging to general and OBC category, have to pay Rs. 600 as application form fee whereas this fee is reduced to Rs. 400 for ST/SC candidates. This fee can be paid in online mode via debit/credit card or net banking or in offline mode through bank challan. 

SBI PO 2015 Exam Pattern 

Probationary Officers exam is divided into 2 parts i.e- objective test and descriptive test. Objective test will be held in online mode where candidates have to mark the answers using mouse on the computer system. This test will contain 200 questions and candidate will have to solve them in 2 hours.  After the objective test, there will be descriptive test in which candidates have to write essay,letter and short precis. Descriptive test will be conducted in offline mode and time allotted to complete it would be 1 hour. 

SBI PO Result 2015 

State Bank of India will declare SBI PO result for all the candidates who attempted written exam for the recruitment on the post of Probationary Officer. This result will be issued in 4th week of August 2015 tentatively. Candidates who qualify the written exam and clear the cut off benchmark will be chosen for the next round of selection. 

Tips to crack SBI PO exam

Practice sample papers- It is well said that “practice makes the man perfect” so practice the sample papers as much as possible. By practicing daily, candidates will gain more command over basic calculations and they will be able to save time during exam. 

Time Management - Time management is very important in Probationary Officer exam. In order to manage the time properly, candidate should attempt easy questions first. If you find any tricky question,  leave it and solve the next one. 

Do not mark answers if unsure - In SBI PO 2015 exam, there will be negative marking for the wrong answers. So, candidates are suggested to mark answers only if they are sure that it is correct. 

Read all the options before marking answer - Do not solve questions in a hurry. Always read all the options before marking your answer. This well help you to score well in the exam. 

Pay attention to your health- Along with studies, candidates should also focus on their health. A good health will ensure better concentration in the exam. So, always take proper rest and sleep after studying for long hours.
