Read This before Moving To the US
Shifting to the US is a big step.
It used to be a tiring process before filled with long to do lists and multiple
quilting lists. With the adding population of Indians in the US, effects have
changed drastically. Still, a lot of Indians are still in the mind-set that
effects we use in India would not be available there. Hence, they protect madly
before going to the US, adding gratuitous redundant baggage!

shouldn't buy from India while moving to the US
What to buy
Medicines and conventions
Some of the common drugs we use in India might
not be available in the US. It's good to have a backup of the generally used
tablets similar as Cronin, Benadryl etc., with conventions, until you get
habituated to the new set of drugs there.
Still, it's good to carry those
tablets as well, along with the tradition, if there are any tablets you're
taking for patient medical conditions.
Eye spectacles
Still, get a redundant brace along with a
redundant set of contact lenses if you use them, if you wear spectacles. Eye
spectacles are a precious steal in the US and hence worth carrying all the way
from India.
Pressure cooker
Our good old Indian pressure cookers are a
definite needful while moving to the US. Also, keep in mind to carry redundant
gas cuts and hisses to last you till your coming trip to India.
Homemade/ Indigenous masalas
Common Indian brands similar as MTR, Everest,
Catch, etc. are available in the Indian stores across US, especially in
metropolises with further Indian population. Still, if there are any locally
made Indian curry pastes or masala maquillages that you prefer, also you can
carry it to use till you find backups there.
Introductory apparel and footwear

while shifting to the US. Carry basics to last you as many weeks. Ultimately
you would buy effects in the US that would fill your wardrobe. Utmost of the
transnational brands are available at cheaper prices in the US. Hence, avoid
shopping in India before your trip and adding further weight to your baggage. Acclimatized
suits are precious in the US. Hence, carry it if you formerly enjoy one.
What not to buy
Winter wear

India while shifting to the US. Not only do you get better quality downtime
wear there, it's also much cheaper than in India. However, carry one for when
you just land, if you're moving to a country that's veritably cold. This would
also last you till you get around to shopping for further.
Medicines without tradition
Don’t carry any drugs without tradition.
Carrying some can indeed land you in trouble at the baggage checks.
Toiletries and cosmetics
Utmost of the transnational brands of
toiletries and cosmetics are available in the US for cheaper. Hence, don’t buy
anything new from India in medication for your trip. Your introductory restroom
