Pressing cottonseed oil
Pressing cottonseed oil
Cottonseeds consist mainly of cottonseeds. Cottonseed is a different rapeseed from peanuts. Before oil extraction, cottonseeds must be stripped. Only the cottonseeds after lint are able to be extracted into oil.
Benteng Machinery today will explain the cottonseed oil pressing procedure. Cottonseed oil pressing - steaming, frying and pressing
1.Cottonseed Dethreading Cottonseed should be removed before oil pressing. After delinting, cottonseed can be fried and pressed into oils.
2. The conditions of steaming and deep frying cottonseed can vary depending on the characteristics of free-gossypol as well as actual needs. If the pressed cakes are used as feed, they will benefit from the long-term steaming and deep frying. . Squeezing is used to control the moisture in cottonseed. Make sure you have the right conditions for squeezing. Scouring is done to increase the plasticity and flexibility of oilseeds and nuts. Reduce the viscosity and color of refined oil.
3. To ensure cottonseeds' squeezing conditions are maintained, they are squeezed and fried in an oil press. Once the temperature has reached about 125-130°F, oil can be turned on to squeeze. It increases the pressure and oil yield in the press chamber. The oil yield for cottonseed is between 16 and 37 percent under normal conditions.
4. The crude oil is extracted by the cottonseed filter oil pressing. After filtering, there are two options for oil filters: centrifugal or vacuum. The filtered cottonseed oils can be used for cooking.
