1. Read Terms & Conditions Properly – When it comes to playing rummy online, you have to follow the terms and conditions of the website. 3. Sets (or Books): Three or four cards of the same rank. If you are using two decks, a set may include two identical cards of the same rank and suit.

4. Invalid Declaration: If a player declares the hand without completing the objective or without forming correct sequences and/or sets, he/she is penalized with 80 points.

5. Losing Players with a Valid Hand: Players who declare their combinations second and have a valid hand get 2 points. So, if you win a game against players who also have a valid hand, the losing players with valid hands lose by two points each.


6. Joker and Wild Cards

In each rummy deck, there is a Printed Joker and there is a Wild Card that is selected at random at the beginning of the game. The role of both these types of rummy cards is the same. Jokers are used to forming sets and impure sequences. A Joker card can replace the desired number when forming the groups. This is a valid formation in a rummy game.

 

7. Rummy Table

It is the table where the game of rummy is played. Every rummy table can sit two to six players for each game.

 

8. Leaving the Table: You will get a middle drop of 40 points if you leave the table after picking a card.


9. First Drop: A player gets 20 points if he/she drops out of the game on his/her very first turn without picking a card from the Open Deck.

10. Middle Drop: If a player drops out of the game at any time after his/her first turn, he/she gets 40 points.

11. Consecutive Misses: If a player misses three consecutive turns, he/she gets a middle drop and is automatically dropped out of the game.

12. Sorting of Cards: Sorting of cards is done at the beginning of the game. This is done to arrange your cards to help you form your sets and sequences reducing the probability of mixing the cards. Once, the cards are displayed, you can hit the Sort button and start playing.
