Panchakarma: The Ayurveda treatment at its best
Ayurveda, an ancient way of treatment has huge significance in current age also. There are numerous diseases that are perfectly cured by this treatment without any side effects. The Ayurveda works on the base of virtues of various herbs, shrubs and other innocent elements available in natural form. There are various ways to use these elements in different forms. The panchakarma is a known way of treatment in which various five treatments are included. These treatments are done in three different stages and help the body to detoxify and make it back in natural form.
The Panchakarma:
This is a known process in the Ayurveda that is known to help the body and rejuvenate it in true sense. The process is divided in three different stages which are purva karma, pradhan karma and paschat karma. The purva karma means those actions necessary to prepare the body for the process of detoxification from its normal form. The purva karma includes pachan, snehan and swedan where pachan means digestion, snehan means massage and swedan means spa treatment taken by steam. The next stage is pradhan karma, which includes vaman, virechan, basti and nasya treatments. Here the toxic elements are removed from each part of the body. Vaman means vomit and virechan means defecation. This ways it cleans stomach thoroughly and detoxify it. The basti and nasya are to clear the lungs and breathing areas. In the paschat karma, the body is provided with various medicines which are made of herbs and hence there are three treatments known as samsarjan, rasayan therapy and shaman as well as vajikaran to make the body stronger.
The accessories:
There are various panchakarma accessories used to provide panchakarma treatment. These accessories include Lotta, Thavi, Polished varpu, oil bowl, dharakindi, chattukam, hanging lamps, Nilavilakku, and Pathykayil. There are also equipment such as manicure and pedicure bowls, mortar and pestle, nasyayanthram incense burner and many more tools that can help the users and practitioners. There are different processes in which each of these accessories are used.
The importance of the accessories:
The panchakarma is a process that can help the human body get in a better state and all these accessories are much helpful to the practitioners who perform the panchkarma on the patient. One must consult a professional expert for the panchkarma to get the desired results of the process in long run.
