Nursing Home Hires Strippers to Entertain their Residents
The NY post recently reported on a nursing home that hired strippers to entertain their residents at a state-run Veterans home in Taiwan. The home was forced to issue an apology when video of the event went viral.
I don’t think this was covered under Medicare, but the nursing home did foot the bill as part of their Mid-Autumn Festival, explains Nursing Home attorney Jeffrey J. Downey. Nursing home residents do have a right to engage in their own recreational activities, but I don’t think we’ll see any pole dancing in any US based nursing facilities.
Dancing has been shown to provide both physical and psychological benefits for elderly patients.
