The government of India has been working together with the ministry of tourism for a long time to add some amendment in the e-Visa India. Now they have come up with the latest changes in India e-visa which are as follows:

  • There is an increase in the validity of e-Visa and it is as much as 1 year now which was only 120 days earlier.

  • The best thing about the amendment in the India e-Visa is that tourists are no more restricted to get the entry in India. Now they can enter India anytime they want, there is no limit with the no of entries.

  • However, foreign tourists are only allowed to stay for 90 days if they stay continuously. They make sure the stay does not exceed 90 days.

  • For the nationals of the UK, Canada, and Japan there is another relaxation as they can stay for 180 days continuously per entry. They no more need to register again if their stay is for less than 180 days.

  • All the course of action right from applying e-Visa India, document submission, designated airports entry, and others remain the same.

  • Travelers from more than 160 countries are still eligible to apply for India e-Visa. There is neither one country adding up to the list nor one is reducing the list.

Foreign nationals who apply for e-Visa India must have a valid passport with the validity of at least 6 months. After they applied for the visa application, they need to make an online payment and receive the electronic visa in their mail.
