Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi took her first breath in the Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh on November 19, 1917. She was the only girl child of Jawaharlal Nehru, a significant figure in the India's Freedom Movement, a move dedicated to the change of culture inside the country. Soon she became India's very first PM. As a consequence of political convictions, Nehru, along with with his family members, was regularly placed behind bars for supporting Mohandas Gandhi's (1869–1948) Freedom Movement. Mohandas Gandhi opposed the rule of England over India. This move set Indira at the center point of India's war for independence.



India observes National Integration Day or Quami Ekta Divas which falls on November 19, each year, for being Indira Gandhi's birth day. It realizes the toil, tears, blood and also delight of the 1st female PM of India, Indira Gandhi. India Gandhi remained PM of India for amost 15 and a half years. This day involves Indians to vow towards assuring preserving of common amicability with each and every other individual in the general public. Flower wreaths are presented up on the statue of Late Indian PM to honor her unique support to the country. Indira also wrote letters in her entire life related to achievements that describes what her philosophy was.

National Integration Day is popularly celebrated each year in India by organising a variety of events which includes Inter State Youth Exchange Programmes(ISYEP), national Integration Camp(NIC), National Youth Festival, National Youth Award and etc. The aim of National Integration Day it to try to make people live in unity, peace, and dispersing of love and brotherhood among the fellow Indian Individuals. A number of Sessions and Programmes are organized to control and deal with issues correlated with national Integration. A lot of local community services are carried out by residents of diversified social backgrounds, religions, faith as well as geographical locations across the country.

Under her reign, India and the Indian economy rose from ashes as the weaker as well as poor section had evolved. There are plenty of milestones which were accomplished under her reign and folks of India won't be able to forget about those milestones that very easily ever in future. She have signed up the Shimla pact with Pakistan and the Indo-Soviet Treaty of peace, friendship and co-operation. India had the first nuclear tests at Pokhran, the first Asian Games in New Delhi, sent the 1st astronaut Squadron Chief Rakesh Sharma to space and the 1st Non-aligned Summit all under her enabled direction. She had been an outstanding leader as well as fascinationg leader leaving remarkable and indelible mark on contemporary India and on world affairs combined with Non Alignment Movement. She was given Bharat Ratna in 1971.



She was assassinated on 31st of October, 1984 in garden space at her residence in New Delhi in a fusillade of bullets fired by a couple of of her own Sikh bodyguards in revenge for the charge in Amritsar. She was replaced as prime minister by her son Rajiv, who served until 1989.

With respect to observing National Integration Day, 2013, the very first all-women Bharatiya Mahila Bank in the country was launched. Headquartered in Delhi, the bank plans to develop to 25 branches by March 31, 2014 as had already been earlier announced by the Finance Minister in his Budget talk this year. The bank may have a beginning capital of Rs 1,000 crore.India remembered Indira Gandhi on her 29th demise anniversary on Oct 31, 2013.
