3D architectural visualization has become the boon to all the builders, estate agents and the target customers. It aids in visualizing the building structure and interior design of all the projects clearly by adding life to them.

This has been used by architects in recent arena as a medium for explaining architectural concepts right since the advent of computer aided designs. It has become the most effective means of communication as compared to the age old methods of technical drawings and lexical documentation which were beyond the understanding of the common man.

3D visualizer divides the project into following parts before proceeding with the work:

Architectural Visualization

Important elements pertaining to Interior designs are anything that is found inside the house say for e.g. walls, windows, doors, finishes, textures, light, furnishing and furniture. These elements are used by the designers to develop functional space for the buildings. 3D visualization adds extra edge to these interior elements in such a manner that the viewer gets the feeling of inside the house.

Exterior designs are anything that is found outside buildings i.e. all those that are involved in the outside environment, the space where building is situated say for e.g. walls, windows, doors, wall's finishes, light etc.

Interior - Exterior projects: Work that is based on lighting are known as "semi- outdoor" projects and are different from the above two as it is type of interior designs with opening bigger and divided by the columns.

Every architect before starting any project takes into consideration one most important element i.e. light. In other words what are the kinds of light that affects the scene that is going to be created and which one type of light affects the most.

There are 4 types of lighting in 3D architectural visualization:

1. Sky light: It is the light from the atmosphere, initiated by reflectance of sunlight over the sky, cloud and each and everything that is present in the atmosphere. This light will influence the room that has large window as the sky light will scatter over the large area of room or even the entire room. So it is advisable to make use of ambient color like yellow or green if the walls ar white or cream and the intensity should be dim.

2. Sun light: This light will affects only some parts of the room viz. the floor and the walls as the sunlight is the directional light and will not scatter around like skylight resulting in indirect illumination. Any change in the angle of the sun or the intensity of the sun will affect the final results.

3. Indirect light: Any light that is bounced and is reflected from the object that is affected by direct light is indirect light. The color of the light is affected by the color of the object.

4. Artificial lights: Artificial lights aid in controlling the illumination levels of the interior environment. This results in approximate color consistency and chromatic aberrations.
