There is plenty of usage for Minecraft: education edition in the classrooms. It has enabled the students of New Zealand to explore the best of Maori culture in the form of the voxel. Nga Motu means the islands, is a virtual world created by the game designer of Piki studios that are based on coromandel. The designer focuses on teaching the children and students about the culture and traditions of Maori. Not only that the focus is also on helping the students learn the language of Maori. This world features moa and kiwis, along with a traditional Pa, which is a settlement that is safeguarded by the palisades.

Exploring a whole new world

New weapons are included, for instance, the waka hourua, which is a double-hulled canoe present in the harbor. The swords have substituted by patus which are clubs featuring a short handle. The designer exclaims that the game focuses on being highly organic. It enables the players to explore and discover all the elements as no element is known to exist in isolation; they are all interlinked. The designer is hopeful that everybody plays these games and witness a lot more than a waka. The users will be able to view how the waka fits into that world along with the elements. Nga Motu will be released and will coincide with the week of Maori language event in Kiwiland. It will be an exciting release and only time will tell about its impact.
