Microsoft Office Error 1935 of Assembly Component During Installation (Solved)
Microsoft Office is today the most used productivity suite in the computing world and is available to users since 1990. All these years, it has dramatically transformed and upgraded from Office 1.0 to Office 365. The method to download MS Office through office.com/setup is pretty simple and takes only a few minutes to install.
While the program has excelled by the day, users have encountered some errors from time to time, too. One of the common errors after the Office setup download is the Error 1935. This error occurs when you try to install Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 on Windows Vista or Windows 7. Below is the exact error dialogue that your screen should be reading:
“Error 1935 |An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {66332632-9C28-58B1-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E} HRESULT 0x800736FD”
The primary reason for this error is corrupted or missing Microsoft .NET Framework. Below are three methods that you can try after downloading MS Office, to install it with the Office setup product key successfully.
Fix 1: Repair Microsoft .NET Framework.
You will need to repair it using the Program and Features tab in Control Panel. Here are the steps:
- Hold the Windows key, and press R.
- Type appwiz.cpl to open Programs and features.
- Locate Microsoft .NET Framework. Click on it.
- Click Uninstall/Change.
- Click Continue to run repairing (as administrator).
- Select Repair, and then click on Wait. Now, wait until process finishes. Thereafter, a Setup Wizard will be launched. If you have more versions of Microsoft .NET Framework, we advise you to repair them all.
- Click Exit when the process finishes.
Now, try reinstalling Microsoft Office from www.office.com/setup. If this method didn’t help, skip to the next one.
Fix 2: Install Microsoft .NET Framework.
If you can’t repair Microsoft .NET Framework, or it is not installed, you need to download and install it from the Microsoft website. Thereafter, you can install MS Office.
Fix 3: Install .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) (x64).
- Open any internet browser.
- If using a 32-bit operating system, download .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) (x86) from Microsoft Download Center.
- If using a 64-bit operating system, download .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) (x64) from Microsoft Download Center.
- Run the setup file for installation of .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) x86 or x64.
- Click Next to continue installation. Follow further prompts to complete the installation. Now, try reinstalling Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010.
If you still face any issue(s), you can always contact Microsoft Support Center. You can also view the status and details of your MS Office product key on office.com/myaccount.
