Some say the heart of rock and roll is Cleveland…well try again ! Mark Begelman Says "The Heart of Rock and Roll is in Deerfield Beach"

In fact, the heart of rock and roll, and maybe all music, at least in Florida, is at Markee Music in Deerfield Beach.

In just 4 years of opening, Markee has quickly established itself as the largest premium rehearsal, recording and lesson studio in south Florida.

With 6 rehearsal studios, 1 premium studio, lessons rooms and a recording studio, Markee dominates the music scene.

Mark Begelman and his partner, Keith Ridenour reported that over 5000 bands came through the doors of Markee, over 4000 music lessons were given and 900 hours of recording took place in 2014.

Not to mention 5 Grammy records recorded at Markee. From wedding bands to tribute bands and from hip hop to rock and roll and from young to old, Markee caters to them all.

Though most of the bands that rehearse at Markee are local bands, National acts including Rick Springfield, Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden, The Romantics, Queensryche, Bad Company, Poison, Creed, Saigon Kick, New Found Glory, The Jason Bonham Band, and Phil Colins, to name a few, have all rehearsed at Markee as well.

On any given night you can hear the rehearsals sounds of a Journey, Billy Idol, Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen tribute bands, not to mention Mark Begelman's band, "Monkey at a Typewriter", one of Markee’s better classic rock bands. (at least according to Mark Begelman)

Music recitals of Markee’s student happen twice yearly. In May of 2015, over 135 people attended to watch their friends and loved ones perform the music they have been taught by Markees instructors.
