Magical Transfer Private Advantage Of Using For Disney Travelers
Driving is one of the most
frequently requested topics from my clients, especially regarding travelling to
Disney Paris (DLP). Your options for DLP travel include using either driving
and Eurotunnel travel (our preferred method), flying (with car rental available
through Eurostar service or taking Eurotunnel ), taking the Eurostar or taking
an overnight train journey via Eurotunnel; reading here about differences
between Eurotunnel vs Eurostar travel options (read here to understand
differences). Our preference has always been driving, even from Yorkshire where
our 5-hour journey started; many reasons justify its superiority when flying
just doesn't work as efficiently.
Many families who haven't driven
from Calais to Paris yet may feel anxious and uncertain when contemplating
making the trip. So I wrote this piece as an educational aid aimed at
dispelling fears surrounding this journey - here we cover everything you need
to know about magical transfer
for disneyland paris!.
Why Magical Transfer For Disneyland Paris?
We love driving to Disneyland Paris for
several reasons. First off, this allows us to pack everything we might possibly
need without being limited by baggage allowances etc - essential when travelling
with children as their needs can often outstrip baggage limits etc! Second of
all, driving allows us to stay at our accommodation of choice (Davy Crockett
Ranch; click here for our review and reasons of choice), with no shuttle
services connecting Davy Crockett to Disney parks so having access via car is
necessary!
Discover Cars is an invaluable
search and comparison service, perfect for finding a suitable rental car to
transport the family to Disneyland Paris. Here, you can search an extensive
range of rental options worldwide to ensure you find what suits you perfectly!
Driving across France on its
winding roads allows us to relax and take in its picturesque sights without
feeling pressured about flight times and train departures, such as can occur
when booking travel by plane and train. Everything can happen at our own
leisure - there are numerous well-appointed service stations along our journey,
where toilet breaks may occur or back seats declare hunger!
Traveling by car often turns out
cheaper than flying or booking the Eurostar train service.
As part of our preparations to
arrive at Disneyland Paris, we take advantage of every opportunity to do some
grocery shopping before arriving there. French supermarkets are truly
fantastic; usually large with tons of selection and boasting different sights
and smells than their British counterparts. It gives us the chance to practice
our French, though don't feel limited as almost all French people speak at
least some basic English making supermarket transactions easy and seamless for
us - plus the kids love taking in all these different sights, smells and
educational early layers to their vacation at Disney Paris when driving over
with The Eurotunnel.
Eurotunnel has always been our
go-to option when traveling from Dover to Calais; its speed (30 minutes!), ease
and fun nature makes it the ideal option.
Booking train slots online
requires providing information about your vehicle registration so that once at
terminals computers can use registration recognition technology to speed up
check in. If you don't know which car will be travelling with you it doesn't
have to be entered if unsure.
Arrival at the train terminal
should generally go smoothly when provided with vehicle registration details;
however, during peak periods delays could arise so I advise arriving with
plenty of time in your travel itinerary; my husband often advises against me
making plans that last more than an hour just in case something unexpected pops
up - I always allow one hour as over cautionary measure!
As soon as the computer system
recognizes you, it confirms your train time and prints out a hanging ticket for
you to hang from your interior mirror with an large letter representing which
train time slot you are boarding. As you drive on, follow that lane which
displays this letter; usually there will be toilets nearby as well as drinks
machines if your lane starts moving without you!
