Unboxing the LG OLED77C2PUA 77" C2 Smart OLED evo 4K UHD TV with HDR (2022)
Unpacking this smart TV reveals a sleek design that screams luxury from the moment you lay your eyes on it. It's a stunner, with a minimalist design that would fit perfectly into any modern living room. The TV's bezel-free panel oozes sophistication, with a thin strip of gray metal outlining the unit's edges. The screen is just a quarter of an inch thick, but it extends to a thickness of 1.8 inches to accommodate the necessary electronic components.
The TV rests on a gray metal stand that gives the unit a sturdy base. Alternatively, you can mount it on a wall with a standard VESA mount. All the connections (four HDMI ports, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, an optical audio input, an antenna/cable connector, and 3.5mm ports for RS-232C control and an IR blaster) are cleanly tucked away on the left side of the enclosure.
Navigating the World of WebOS 22
The LG C2 is powered by WebOS 22, the latest iteration of LG's smart TV platform. It comes packed with a plethora of features and a wide array of apps. All the popular streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube, and even Twitch are available. The only notable omission is Crunchyroll.
The platform also supports Apple AirPlay and Miracast/WiDi, but not Google Cast. The built-in LG voice assistant allows you to control the TV and other compatible smart home devices directly. If you prefer, you can access Alexa or Google Assistant for even more features.
While the platform offers a multitude of features, some users might find navigating the interface a bit clunky. The interface can occasionally be slow to respond, especially when switching between apps and the home screen. These minor inconveniences do not deter from the TV's otherwise stellar performance.
Exemplary Picture Quality
The LG C2's picture quality leaves nothing to be desired. It's a 4K TV with a refresh rate of 120Hz and can display high dynamic range content in Dolby Vision, HDR10, and hybrid log gamma (HLG).
