Lectureship, a role very closely related to considered one of the noblest occupations called teaching, has surfaced as a major career choice for several aspirants desiring to make their future into an area of academics. Lectureship Job Prospects


The selected candidate is appointed as lecturer in the pay grade of Rs. 8000-13500 per month in Central Universities and state universities. Of late, a large number of new universities and educational institutions have come forth, which have generated a large number of vacancies for lecturers. In addition, there is also a great deal of job satisfaction associated with this profession.


In order to apply for the posts of lecturer at universities, colleges or other institutions, the University Grants Commission (UGC) have made it compulsory for candidates without a PhD (pre-2009) to have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) /State-Level Eligibility Test (SLET).




Exam Pattern and Test scheme:


The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will contain mainly objective type questions and will be held on 27th Dec 2015.


Paper-I: 60 multiple choice questions out of which the candidate would be must answer any 50 questions. Each question will carry 2 marks. Just in case the candidate attempting more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.


Paper-II: 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the topic chosen by the applicants. Each question will be worth 2 marks.


Paper-III: 75 objective type compulsory questions from the field of study selected by the applicants. Each question will be worth 2 marks.
