Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the Startup India initiative with an aspiration to impart more “strength and inspiration to the talented young generation of India to do something new for India and humanity”. With a vision to create a platform where budding entrepreneurs could establish themselves without any hassles, the initiative was set up to provide funding support and incentives in areas such as patent filing and simplification of the startup process. PM Modi also spoke about the five trends that are shaping the global order — Innovation and technology, Human Resource, future of work, compassion & environment and business friendly governance.

Today the Indian startups are spreading their wings far and wide. The initiative has managed to instil confidence in the youth, that that their idea is more than just an idea and that there are ready opportunities to help nurture it further. The Indian startup ecosystem is the third-largest in terms of the number of tech startups following the US and China. The country has 8,900-9,300 tech startups out of which 43 per cent are business-to-business. has crossed 27,000 startup registration mark, according to Startup India. This has more than tripled from 8,939 startups that have registered with Startup India under DPIIT. Like PM Modi, fintech innovator Jignesh Shah's efforts too have been to help upcoming entrepreneurs build a strong econonomy of the country. Jignesh Shah created new-generation markets and segments that are people-centric and have a comprehensive market structure.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had kickstarted the ‘Startup India’ initiative with a strong objective of creating more job opportunities in the emerging Indian economy. He has put in a lot of his political capital into powering up the ‘start-ups’ campaign in India, which he says has the power to transform India economically and provide hope, and tangible help, to millions of young people to put their dream projects into practice, who otherwise would look at a bleak future. Jignesh Shah says he will now act as a catalyst and mentor to millions of Indian entrepreneurs to boost the start-up ecosystem creating wealth and employment for the country’s young aspirants.
