Parag Nevatia replied, “I migrated to the US in 1993. Got into Banking in 1994. Between 1994 and 1999, I learnt a lot about retail banking, earned a 2-year associate degree in banking operations from the ABA’s American Institute of Banking, and after being a top producer on the retail side over 5 years, I got promoted to Business Banking in 1999. From 1999 to 2001, I also earned the #1 producer spot in Business Banking in the Central/Southwest NJ district for the then Fleet Bank (now Bank of America), and #3 in the state of New Jersey for 2 years in a row, which led to my receiving the Crystal Award at a Bank-Sponsored Black-Tie weekend event with top 75 bankers from the entire bank footprint at the prestigious Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan. This is when I started moving to other areas in 6 other banks, from Small Business Lending to Commercial Lending, and eventually by 2010, landed myself into SBA Lending. By 2011, I had earned a certification in credit underwriting from the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and 2 years after that, I left the corporate world to start by own Advisory and Consulting Business with the focus on making businesses bankable for funding, growth, and expansion, and building equity. Eventually in 2023, I published my first e-book on the methodology called “Bankability – a walkway to loan approvals and building equity” that is now available on Kindle and Amazon.”

The UK Times: What objectives and aspirations are you currently working towards in your professional journey?
Parag Nevatia replied, “My goal is to be known as the primary Business Plan shop in USA. We also have ancillary services such as Business Modeling and Loan Projections, Business Sustainability and Loan Facilitation to assist Banks with Loan Services, but the goal is to spread the word across the US to some 4000 banks. Adding to this vision, is creating a Backoffice in India, if possible, to do the number crunching, and logic building, which will eventually result in timely completion of our projects. Hey, US team sleeps while India team works, and US team works while India team sleeps.”

Parag Nevatia replied, “I have created a brand and a reputation over the past 30 years for myself personally within the Banking space, and my focus has always been on quality, not quantity. Within these 30 years, in the past ten, my company EZ Funding Solutions has built its reputation, which is our biggest strength. We asked Parag Nevatia, “What was the path you took to get to where you are today?
Parag Nevatia replied, “35 years of absorbing all the knowledge and learning from what started at family-owned retail outfit in India in late eighty’s, a garment manufacturing assembly-line in a factory in Bengaluru in early 90’s, and then eventually finding my way into Banking in USA in early 90’s. From there I earned a few Certifications along the way, and then in 2013-14, I started educating the community through various channels such as, counseling for SBA bodies like SCORE and SBDC in New Jersey since 2014, Key Note speaking, Panel discussions and interviews at events across USA, Guest-Speaking at Colleges, Blogging/Writing Articles and finally Publishing my first eBook, all to build credibility and reputation to be recognized as a subject matter expert in my field. All these things have been a pathway to shape EZ Funding Solution’s current journey for future trajectory.”

In the intricate and dynamic journey that EZFUNDINGSOLUTIONS has undertaken, could you provide a detail like what have been the biggest challenges you have had to overcome during the journey of “EZFUNDINGSOLUTIONS”?
Parag Nevatia replied, “One of my biggest and toughest challenges have been the fact that people have labeled me as a loan broker, and most loan brokers have a stigma attached to them due to their non-acceptable working style, which has resulted in many larger financial institutions not wanting to work with them right off the bat, and I have been put in that category for years. Even till date, many banks/bankers call me a loan broker, simply because they have never seen anyone other than a loan broker, who can produce the kind of solutions that EZ Funding has. However, I have kept it positive and focused on my path to shaping a whole new perspective in the Finance field, something way beyond what loan brokers can even think, but yes, this was a huge hurdle in my business that I am, slowly but surely, getting beyond day-by-day.”
The UK Times: What are the key values which helped you to overcome the challenges in your path? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?
Parag Nevatia replied, “Keeping my focus on creating a brand that people can trust and depend on and return for more solutions. One of my senior mentors told me once that I should become a sponge, because once one absorbs all the knowledge, that person can go back and teach people to get things done correctly, and doing things correctly can bring positive results for everyone, and that in turn will be our biggest value that we can bring. One of the first steps in our journey was in 2014 when the reputed Small Business Development Center invited me to first become a counselor for their clients, and then to join their Advisory Board to support and assist them in spreading word about their services in the business community. Soon following that came Score who asked us to join their team as a volunteer in 2016 to assist their clients.”

Our future vision can be attainable only if we stick to our principles, discipline, and dedication to bring nothing but the best solutions to all our clients.”

This service has already started since 2022 and is only picking up quarter over quarter. We would like to see ourselves as one of the largest Business Plan and Loan Projections company in the US soon.”
