How to wash and store leggings?
Leggings
are one of our favourite clothing items, and if anything happens to it, we will
be quite sad. If you want to avoid constantly buying ladies
leggings online shopping again
and again then follow few of these tips. There are some easy ways to wash and
store or take care of your plain leggings. You don’t want to spend tons of
money purchasing new ones every season, right?
1. Leggings are made usually
with cotton which is why they are so comfortable. Cotton clothes tend to get
rough if washed with heavy duty powder detergents. They can also form small dots
or balls on the clothes, which are known as lint balls too. If you want to
avoid this from happening then use a detergent that is mild and lint free.
2. Don’t use the machine to
wash leggings at all. Since leggings have elastic bands on the waistline, you
must avoid washing it in the machine. This will make the bands loose, which
will make the fitting bad of the cloth. Also, over some time the leggings will
start stretching over time if you constantly wash it in the machine. Avoid
doing this and wash it by yourself. Don’t run a brush over it but simply soak
it in a little soap and warm water for 20 minutes. Rinse this with fresh water
and leave it to dry.
3. The best thing about
leggings is that they dry quickly, which is a sign that you shouldn’t leave it
for too long in the sunlight. If the weather is pleasant, then you can
certainly dry it outdoors but if you see too much sunlight through the day then
remove the cloth after 2 hours as it dried pretty quick.
4. If the elastic band gets
tangled inside the cloth then don’t detangle it while you are not wearing it.
Put the leggings on and start detangling the elastic or straightening the
elastic on your waistline. You can adjust it better once it is on a fixed
place. So instead of wasting time by laying it on the bed and trying to work
the elastic, just wear it to detangle.
Other
than all the above tips and tricks, wash off any food marks or dirt spots immediately to avoid the leggings from stinking.
