By bringing “Facebook Live” platform on its social platform, it has opened a new world of opportunities for brands and individuals alike. This allows the people to broadcast the content over its social network which gives it potential to reach a large amount of audience. The long goal is defined as being able to live stream from any device, might as well be drones.

Since this thing has now become a pretty prominent means of live streaming events and interacting with the audience, users want their live stream to be perfect and successful. Facebook too offers some basic guidelines to host a successful live stream. The first tip is let people know before going live through a post so that they get notified every time your page does a live stream. Another point to consider is that longer streams gather more viewers. The company recommended time for a live stream is minimum five minutes.

How-to-do

Here is a basic idea of what is required to live stream on Facebook Live. A live-streaming software would be required if you are taking the raw feed from production cameras. For example purposes, we would use the software called “OBS Studio”. After installing the software, you have to set it up to get it working.

Firstly, you would need to set up a scene that you want to showcase on your Facebook Live Stream. After setting things up, you need to optimize some settings in OBS for Facebook Live. The output is the first thing you will need to confirm. Video bitrate should be below 2500. The video is the next thing. Output resolution and FPS should be set. 1280 x 720 should be your resolution and FPS should be capped at 30.

Now that you have set required video and output in OBS, you need to enter a Facebook Live Stream key to connect to Facebook. You will need to start a new live-stream session from the Facebook page to get Facebook Live Stream key. Open your page, click on Publishing Tools, and then Videos. From here, you’ll see a +Live button. Before you go live, you should preview your stream using the Facebook publishing tools you left open previously. Test the video and audio to ensure there are no issues or feedback.

Comments Moderation
It is important to connect with your audience and to do that you need to respond to the comments live. The comments can be viewed live on mobile or desktop. To view comments on your desktop, open a new tab and go to your Facebook business page. Find the live video running on your page and click on the words “Click for more.”

Conclusion
Having the ability to live stream to such a large audience along with features like screencasting on your hands is profitable. It gives you the ability to showcase products, teach, share media, and more. It’s a key tool that sets Facebook apart from other live-stream platforms.
