How to Troubleshoot Wi-Fi (Wireless) Printers?
Check and make sure that the printer is turned ON, connected to network/Wi-Fi and recheck if the USB cable which is connecting your printer to the computer is working.
Check that your printer to properly connected with your computer. Also, please make sure that no error message or warning lights on your printer.
Check that the ink level and paper tray, also you need to check the printer queue.
Check if there is any new update done on your computer such as security, operating system or any other. If yes, you need to reconnect your printer to the network and install necessary updated drivers.
Make the printer as default:
It’s possible that you’re trying to connect to a Wi-Fi printer that has set itself as the default. Sometimes a printer may install software that has a “virtual” printer so that when you hit the Print command, the virtual printer saves the file instead of the actual document you’re sending to the physical printer.
1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound.
2. Click Devices and Printers.
3. Right-click your printer and select set as default printer. Click yes to confirm.
Restart All Your Devices:-
Sometimes, a software glitch can surely affect your computer as well as other connected devices and can lead to errors and some temporary issues. These issues can be resolved just by restarting your devices, by devices we mean all of your devices such as router, computer, printer, modem and other connected devices. This is very basic and simple step and can resolve any such minor issues, check and do a test print to make sure that the printer is working or not.
