How to Configure SMTP, IMAP and POP3 Settings in SBCGlobal

SBCGlobal being one of the most effective communicating software, has made the life of easier for millions. From sending and receiving emails, documents, images etc. to communicating on chat to potential clients and customers, it has been a major support. There are multiple configurations required in order to access this software easily and efficiently. Users need to configure SMTP, IMAP and POP3 setting in their SBCGlobal account in order to use this software. You can either get this done by following the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps. Step 1. SBCGlobal SMTP Settings

1. Open SBCGlobal and go the ‘Settings’ section.

2. Find the ‘Add Account’ option and tap on it where a new screen will appear, and you need to select the email.

3. Enter your username and password in order to log in and then click on ‘Next.’

4. Now, enter the server details. For incoming server setting select IMAP and for SMTP server setting manually enter the following details:

·        AT & T SMTP server: smtp.mail.att.net.

·        SMTP port: 465 or 587

·        SMTP security: SSL / TLS

·        SMTP username: your full email address

·        SMTP password: Your Smtp email account password

5. Tap on the ‘Save’ button once the details are entered.

 

Step 2. SBCGlobal IMAP Settings

1. Tap on the ‘File’ option available on the upper left corner in Outlook.

2. Go to ‘Automatic Account Setting’ and enter your details there.

3. Now, Outlook will configure your SBCGlobal account with appropriate settings.

4. After that, select the heating completion option and close it once done.

 

In case the above fails to configure your account, you can do it manually by:

1. Tap on the ‘File’ option available on the upper left corner in Outlook.

2. Click on ‘Manual Settings’ or ‘Server type’ and then tap on ‘Next.’

3. Now, select the IMAP option and click on ‘Next.’

4. Then enter you correct credential on the screen and tap on OK.’

 

Step 3. SBCGlobal POP3 Setting

1. Go to the ‘Settings’ option on your device and tap on it.

2. A new window will open in which choose the ‘Account’ option and click on ‘Add Account.’

3. Now, select the email and enter appropriate username and password in the given space.

4. Then enter the incoming and outgoing server setting.

5. Firstly, enter the SBCGlobal.net IMAP settings as given below:

·        Incoming server mail: Pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.

·        Username: Your SBCGlobal username

·        Password: Your email account password.

·        Port: 995 or 993

6. Then, continue to enter the SBCGlobal POP setting or the outgoing server setting as given below:

·        Outgoing server mail: smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.

·        Username: your SBCGlobal username

·        Password: Your account password.

·        Port: 465 or 587

7. After you are done entering the details tap on the ‘Save’ button and confirm adding your account.
