How to choose the best smart tv for your home?
What is a 4K TV? Is OLED worth it? Which one is OLED vs. LED? And the big thing: Which TV should you buy? Our goal is to clarify and simplify. If you don't want to know, we won't tell. If it's a minor detail but still worth knowing, we'll point it out. In the end, we will not know which TV is right for you. But you'll do it, and that's the whole point.
Here are the 4 most important things to know (or do) when buying a TV, in order of size:
Go for 4K Ultra HD TV and make sure it has HDR. These are big - the most important factors for TV picture quality. The bigger the better. Regardless. "I would like to buy a small TV" said no one. (More than +4K these days = awesome. Take a breath. Wow.)
Upgrade your HDMI cable. It's all about the plumbing, and the extra $30/40 is worth it. Get the right HDMI cable for your investment TV and see every pixel reproduced in glorious form. Improve sound. Failure is more than half the experience, and your TV's built-in speakers aren't up to the task. (Actually, they were better last year.)
Choose a trusted brand. We have a reputation for researching and evaluating brands. In short, we put them all through the wringer. What type of TV is best? Three clearly stand out: LG, Sony and Samsung, and you can go wrong with any of them.
Buy your new TV from an authorized dealer. You get the manufacturer's warranty, service and support. (In our case, support is guaranteed even during the long sale period. Or just skip the rest and buy one: the best TVs of 2022. Then stand up for yourself. You now have what experts call some of the best TVs around, at any price.
Go Smart, Get Streaming Smart TVs are pretty standard these days, and that's a good thing. (If you're not surfing now, you will be soon. The world is moving this way.) Smart TVs allow you to: Cut the cord... and have freedom and air control. Smart TV allows you to cut cords and lose your cable or satellite service, thanks to traditional applications that accompany them: streaming services such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. Show just about any content on your TV, including home videos, photos and all the music on your phone or computer.
