How Cow Dung Is Dewatered & Pulped For Paper Making

The rising demand for organic fertilizers and the growing awareness and adoption of rooftop farming is the major reason behind the dewatering of cow dung. But what happens during the dewatering process?

Fresh cow dung contains between 80-90 percent of water. When the cow dung is dewatered, the moisture or the extra water present in it is removed, which makes it a useful organic fertilizer. After dewatering, the water content gets reduced to 25-40 percent. It then becomes easy to be used as fertilizer and also for transportation from one place to another. The dewatered cow dung finds an application in the paper-making industry too.

UEC’s Cow Dung Refiner

UEC’s cow dung refiner-TDR is a machine that is used to prepare slurry from cow manure. By using this machine the manufacturers first refine the cow dung and then convert it into pulp for making paper. This paper is produced while keeping the cow dung as the pivotal material. Both industrial packing paper and common writing paper can be produced using this pulp.

UEC is reputed for designing and manufacturing paper, pulp, and packaging testing instruments efficiently sufficing the needs of current and future requirements of the manufacturers. The cow dung refiner is among those high-performance machines that manufacturers source for steady paper making. Hence, keeping ease and effectiveness in mind, this machine is kept easy to operate and environment-friendly.

How Cow Dung Pulp Paper Made?

To be specific, at first, the cow manure is cleansed to remove any unwanted impurities. It is then dehydrated or dewatered as we learned above. Chemicals such as NaOH are added to the manure in an environment of a certain temperature, as a part of decatising. And then it goes through the slurring machine or cow dung refiner-TDR to obtain the paper pulp.
