How a Hot Air Balloon Works
Fly Higher!
In today’s era, technology has developed a lot and there have been emerged a lot of jet engines and rockets that can help you roam the world within a few hours. Whereas air balloons filled with gas might look old-fashioned, but it was the hot air balloons only from where the air travelling and exploring started. You might know who invented the jet engines or which rocket was developed by ‘whom’ and ‘when’. But ever wondered how these air balloons were discovered and how actually they work?
Do you love air traveling or exploring the world from the top? Then Skrydis Oro Balionu Vilniuje is best. To enjoy Skrydis Oro Balionu, you need to know that only warm air can do this and for building this balloon, the things required are: an envelope, burner, and a basket. So, let's start to travel and explore the World with Hot Air Balloon.
1. Envelope
Envelope here does not mean the one made of paper. Here envelope is stated for the balloon itself to trap some hot air in that. This balloon is made from durable, strong, and synthetic fabrics to avoid tearing or spreading. There are two holes in the balloon, one is at the top and other at the bottom. The top of the balloon is called ‘crown’ and other is known as ‘throat’. There’s the hole in the crown known as ‘parachute vent’. It can be opened by pulling a cord and is meant to allow the hot air to escape.
2. Burner
The hot air that is present in the envelope comes from the gas jets that is filled with the propane cylinders. It’s common that there are available two or three burners to provide safety, but sometimes there is also single burner available.
3. Basket
Hot balloons are meant to carry the passengers and space is available right under the envelope and the burner. This wicker basket is very light, strong, and durable that helps to absorb the impact when the balloon is about to land. The basket with the help of 8 ropes or chains is directly connected to the burner.
Now comes how to launch the hot air balloon? Unwrap the envelope and lay it along the ground. Tie the envelope with the burner and basket further making the use of a large fan to aerate it with the cold air. Once this is done, remove the fan and start the burner to heat up the air until it lifts you up off the ground. Once the ballooning is finished, you can find ways to rise or fall the balloon according to the need. Hot air ballooning is something that takes you the way you don’t even know making the ride exciting and scary.
