While the occurrences during the last two years have motivated couples to be more creative when arranging nuptials, a Tamil Nadu couple appears to have planned their wedding years ahead in time! At the recently established metaverse, they recently conducted an entirely virtual wedding. They planned it through an online augmented reality in which avatars can participate in everyday activities without having to leave their homes. Dinesh SP and Janaganandhini Ramasamy, both die-hard Harry Potter fans, picked the metaverse platform to organise their virtual Harry Potter themed wedding!

While you are planning a lot with the wedding planning packages in Kolkata, this has been really a one-of-an incident in the wedding world! Of course it requires a highly tech savvy mind to plan such a special one and the couple is one of them.

India's First Metaverse Harry Potter Themed Wedding

Dinesh SP, a project manager at IIT Madras, stated on Twitter that he and his fiancee would be having their wedding reception in the metaverse, which was created by Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook and the bigger Meta business. The couple held a conventional wedding ceremony in their hamlet of Sivalingapuram in Tamil Nadu, but elected to have their reception online so that friends and family from all around the world could participate! He's constructed virtual avatars of both of them with features that closely resemble theirs in order to make the occasion as genuine as possible! Imagine working with your destination wedding planners for a Hogwarts wedding and this is what you get invited to!

Dinesh used the metaverse to build a virtual avatar that looked like his late father-in-law, allowing his 'presence' to be there during their celebration. What a lovely time to be living, for the bride-to-be, to have her father beside her on her special day!

Following the announcement, GuardianLink.io, an NFT Ecosystem Technology Framework, debuted the first metaverse wedding NFT collection on Beyondlife Club, a popular NFT website. The NFT platform is selling the wedding invitation, as well as the bride and groom's avatars and other souvenirs.

In February, the reception took place in the TardiVerse metaverse. Vignesh Selvaraj is the founder of TardiVerse, a startup based in Chennai. Guests could use the website to log in and join the event as characters of their selection. The couple's metaverse wedding reception is a strong indication of Web3's future direction!
