Guide to Fix the Most Common Issues in Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series also
includes the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Both the devices are equipped with
high-quality cameras, colossal display, S Pen, and various unique and robust
features. Along with all the high-end specifications, both the smartphones have
their share of troubles as well. Many users had disclosed the issues they
experienced, and most of the concerns were common to all.
Thus, we have brought you the guide to fix
those issues on your own. Check out the list of common problems and their
solution below:
Edge
Lighting
At times, the edge lighting feature doesn't
work properly, and the screen fails to show the notifications. Despite turning
the notifications on, users have experienced this trouble. To fix it, go to the
Settings of your device and go to Edge Lighting. Then, select Choose Apps;
here, you'll find that the Messages app is selected by default. From the list,
choose the apps for which you want to receive the notifications.
If this doesn't fix the problem, then your
MicroSD card (from an old device used on Samsung) could be the culprit. Or it
could be that an old folder that got transferred in the Galaxy Note 20 or Ultra
that's creating issues on it. If this is the case, you have to format your SD
card and take the backup of the essential files.
You must also check the Animations
Developer options and set it to at least 0.5x to eradicate the Edge Lighting
issue. Moreover, you can try third-party apps, like Edge Lighting+ or
AODNotify.
Sudden
Reboot
A few users noticed that their phones
randomly reboot themselves, and for some people, this error occurs only when
they try using swipe gestures. To resolve this error, you have to tweak the
functions of each swipe gesture. You can use Samsung's One Hand Operation app
to customize and control each swipe gesture's roles.
If it doesn't solve your problem, then an
app is causing this problem. For this, you have to boot your phone into Safe
Mode and check if the issue persists. If it doesn't, uninstall the most
recently updated or installed apps on your device and check if the issue has
been resolved.
Some users are experiencing a short burst
of vibrations similar to what the device produces when the S Pen is removed. To
get a quick fix for a few hours, try restarting your device, or make the
following settings:
1. Go to Settings and select Display. Click on
the Edge screen and go to Edge panels.
2. Then, tap on Handle settings and turn off
Vibrate When Handle is Touched.
3. On the Settings app, now, click on Sound
and vibration.
4. Select System Sound or Vibration Control
and turn off touch interactions.
If you're using a magnetic case, then try
removing it for a few hours and check it the issue persists.
Apart from these issues, users might be
seeing "camera failed" messages, or experiencing overheating, green
tint during low brightness, and phone failing to switch to LTE issues. These
are the causes of software errors, and an update can fix it completely. Until
the new update rolls out, you have to keep up with your device. Try the fixes,
as mentioned above, for a hassle-free experience.
