Image Before the advent of gin there was no tonic. Most of the beverages and spirits have arisen from the discovery of refined consumable liquors in Europe. Albeit alcohol was consumed in all countries leaving aside a few the blending based on local spices was much to be desired. It was in Europe that the refinement came especially during the period whence technological developments took place.

At the nascent age these were just mendicants containing spirits. It was individual excellence that turned them into class spirits. This is the true story of genevar to gin in Holland. The drink which is distilled from Estonian rye is flavored with Juniper berries and with other mind boggling flavors nowadays. This product outshines the rest. Origin or distillation of spirits much depends upon the blenders and the distillery be it a large one or small.

From a basic drink the spirit has evolved into a wide spectrum liquor with plethora of brands that we find in the market. The evolution has been head on in case of gin in Europe. You can confirm this phenomena by visiting bars and lounges all over the World. The boutique liquor a recent phenomena is changing the landscape the way we imbibe the crazy water.

Another amazing part of the story is the association of gin with tonic. This happened in India whence the British ruled the country. Suffering badly from the malaria parasite transmitted by mosquito quinine was the only remedy in order to escape the deadly disease. The daily intake of this bitter concoction with spirit was the need of the hour. Gin being popular came to be associated with quinine intake. The remedy was to add a sweetened tonic as well. And this is how the combo came into the picture. And became World famous especially in England where it still thrives.

Tonic from Estonia in Europe is becoming popular day by day. Also known as tonic soda due to carbonation it is uniquely flavored using spruce from old Christmas Trees. This recycling is not only helping nature it is adding unique aroma and taste to the mixer in many case it is being consumed straight.

If you look at a gin bottle or for that matter any other spirit it will run your imagination wise. Thanks to printing technology the color and shape of the bottles are enticing. But this is not it for the taste and aroma dominates. Without the latter two the spirit brand would not be a success.

Attend show and events where top liquors are served. Hence when you buy spirits in Europe you know what its is. This applies to the tonic as well. Each and every product is not the same quality matters. The dry gin often requires a sweetener and Estonian tonic is the best.
