GIFT TO SAY “THANKS”
Life without parental
support will be a disaster. They help me in every single step of my life. They
never turned me down. My parents’ humanity and their mortality are more and more
real to me.
“Honor your father and
mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD God is giving to
you”.
More than a lifetime
would not suffice to repay our parents for their gifts from materials to
emotions. Countless they have taught in our lives.
A gift is not just a
gift given someone on Diwali or birthdays, but it is the sign of love we give
it to our parents. It shows the affection to the people t who are loved and
gifts are given for a reason. Making my
parents feel special is more than enough for me. Giving gifts would tell that I
would always be thinking about them.
Choosing the best gift
for the best gift is a very difficult task, but it had to choose a gift for
Diwali for my parents would be a lantern. I would like to choose this gift
because Diwali is the festival of colour and lights and the destruction of the demon. Here the lantern would fade always all sorrows and the darkness and
brings the light of joy in my family. So the lanterns with are sparkling light
spread, infinite love, warmth surrounds the home.
Lantern is the main focus of attention of celebrations as it symbolizes the way for a bright future.
It is the symbol of happiness, so I would like my parents to always have a
grin on their faces. It also symbolizes harmony and balance in nature or
families. Lantern at home would lead
the way forward,
towards the future and pushes aside the surrounding darkness.
Spending time with them
would be the most precious gift rather than concrete objects. I would spend all
my Diwali holidays with them and prepare them the dishes at home similar to
that of fancy restaurants. I would have a meal with them which make them much happier rather than the
materialistic gifts are given to them. I would express how much I would love them,
though I know even words fail to express.
There are many instances
to give back to our parents. I would be very thankful to them. It is the
purest of the reasons to give them gifts.
There are times when I
made mistakes too and a simple apology
would not be enough during the time when
words are not enough, it would be best to express it with a gift. I would be
really sorry for my mistakes done.
Giving gifts would bring joy in us and in our
parents too. They are the most wonderful gift which we have got and nothing can
be replaced in their place. We must always be thankful to them.
