How do I send a gift card online?

Here’s how to purchase a digital gift card online with GIFTA. It only takes a few seconds! 

  1. Visit our gift card shop and select the digital gift card you’d like to send

  2. Select the value amount 

  3. Enter the recipient's details 

  4. Choose to send the gift card now or schedule it to be sent at a later date

  5. Customise your gift card with a personalised message to the recipient

  6. Checkout with our secure payment options

  7. You’ll receive an email and text message to confirm your purchase


How do I save my gift card?

Saving a digital gift card is easy! Once you’ve received a gift card, click ‘redeem’ in your email, or tap the link sent via text message from GIFTA. You’ll then receive a 6-digit code via text message for verification. 


There are then 3 ways to save your digital gift card:

  1. Follow the prompts to save it to your Apple or Google Wallet

  2. Download the GIFTA app and register your details. Your gift card will appear in the GIFTA wallet

  3. Download as a PDF to save and print


How can I redeem my gift card?

You can redeem your digital gift card in-store and online.

In-store: Simply scan the barcode and enter the 4-digit pin show on your digital gift card

Online: Enter the unique card number shown on your digital gift card during the checkout process


How do I swap my GIFTA card?

When you’re ready to swap your GIFTA card, click ‘redeem’ in your email, or tap the link sent via text message from GIFTA. You will then receive a 6-digit code via text message for verification before being redirected online.


You can choose to:

  • Swap your gift card value for a retailer gift card of equal value or,

  • Swap for multiple retailer gift cards up to your card value


You can then confirm your order to receive your new gift card/s. You will receive a text message and email to confirm your swap, and your new cards will be saved to your GIFTA app. 


How do I place a corporate gift card order?

We’d love to help you with this! Get in touch here and a member of our team will reach out to you. Please include as much information as possible such as the name of your business, the quantity of gift cards required and the date they need to be sent. 


What are the available payment methods?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express as payment methods. 


Can I purchase a physical gift card?

All of our gift cards are received electronically via email and text message. If you would like a physical copy, you can download and save your gift card as a PDF to print.


Does my digital gift card expire? 

All GIFTA gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. Expiration dates for all other gift cards vary depending on the merchant. The expiry date on your gift cards will be visible in the GIFTA wallet so you don’t forget to use it!

I entered incorrect details when sending a gift card.

If you’ve entered incorrect details when checking out such as an incorrect phone number or email, please send us a message here and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible to rectify the mistake. Please include your gift card details so we can identify your purchase.
