We all would approve that a well traveled person makes for an engaging company and if the places which he or she has been to are unknown yet exotic, it unquestionably makes their profile a lot more special. A famous destination would make certain the availability of several travel friendly amenities and seasoned local residents but the actual thrill lies in stepping on the path that is less traveled.

India boasts of loads of quaint hamlets that make for an offbeat destination in India, places that could be interesting for the discerning tourist, one who wishes to beat the usual and look for the trivialized yet arresting destinations.

Where else would you think of boating in a lake known as Dhoom Dham? Unlike its colorful name, this lake is pretty placid and can be discovered near a village named Wai, near by Panchgani, Maharashtra, which is state in the western part of India.

Traveling towards the east you can explore the scenic Neora Valley in West Bengal, which is house to the ambiguous Red Panda. The more daring can also undertake a three day trek to Rachela Pass that marks the merging of Sikkim, Bhutan and West Bengal.

If you are one of those who loves to know more about historical sites, there are Junnar Caves in Narayangaon, Maharashtra, which display sophisticated Buddhist architecture from the second century BCE. Not common to many, these historical caves are center of attraction for archaeologists from all across the globe.

Another interesting spot from bespoke travel in India lies in the massive jungles of Orissa. This may make you yelp but Baliguda was once prominent for human sacrifice, although such traditions have now been dropped for more travel friendly ones. It's a fantastic place to witness reliable tribal life as well as their practices.
