Madgaon railway station is the biggest and an important junction in South Goa, it is the gateway to southern parts of Goa and the rest of India. From here, you can travel further to Benaulim beach, Palolem Beach and Colva. These southern beaches are famous for their spectacular views, gushing sea waves and the emerald green waters. The heart-warming Colva beach is a 30-45 minutes ride from the Madgaon railway station. Quite crowded during the evenings, you can enjoy a quiet saunter around beach in the early morning hours. The beaches here offer a vivid collection of souvenir stalls, snack bars, and grand hotels for the tourists.
